Malmesbury Rotary Club Membership event & RI 110y

The Malmesbury Rotary Club consists of 5 members and is struggling. We are planning this event with a view to inviting prospective new rotarians from towns like Darling, Yzerfontein and Langebaan to a venue between Darling and Yzerfontein (!Khwa ttu) as well as any existing rotarians from all clubs to spend the time socialising and chatting informally with each other. In this informal atmosphere, which epitomises the Malmesbury Club, information regarding our organisation will be made available so that prospective members can decide whether our organisation is for them or not.

The "event" commences at 11am at !Khwa ttu, where welcome Tea, Coffee, Juice, Rusks and fruit will be served.

At 11.30 the guests will be split into 2 groups for a GAME DRIVE and a chat about the Bushmen peoples. Both groups will end up at a glorious BOMA overlooking the ocean and Yserfontein. We shall have a local wine estate give us a wine tasting at this boma.

Lunch (main course and desert) will be back at the main centre of !Khwa ttu at 2pm, with free wine on the tables. A cash bar for soft drinks and alternative alcohol will be open as well.

Food and fellowship will continue until approximately 4pm, when the event will end with, hopefully, a few more members for Malmesbury Rotary Club.

February 23rd is also Rotary International's 110year anniversary, so that too is reason to celebrate within the Rotary family of ours. If we can get 60 folks to turn up to spread the rotary cheer we will be chuffed.

DRESS: Casual. Bring sunscreen and a hat.
