#MAD No 5 - November 2017 Newsletter

My message

It is that time of the year again. When Rotarians pack shoebox gifts to put smiles on children’s faces; when clubs frantically find the dates for their yearend functions; when Wynberg discover many “Uncle Paul” stand-ins in their club and when Kirstenbosch xmas puddings become a must-have for the season. Yes – we are heading towards December.

And your #MAD5 is reflecting on D9350 and its clubs making a huge difference in our communities – and making an everlasting impression on their 2017-2018 Governor. You were and still are the best gift I ever received. Thank you for the outpour of support; love; friendship and “lekker tye”!

After the Angola visits from 20-24 November, I had the privilege to get to know our members from 50 of our 58 clubs. We really do have great clubs – wherever they are. People of action. People who make a difference.

To give credit to each and every one of you and the many projects that change lives is simply impossible in this newsletter. I tried to give a feeling of how amazing you are through our D9350 facebook after each visit. Most clubs also have excellent facebook websites. Do yourself a favor: surf and connect to the many stories of your Rotary family of D9350 on their fb pages – and do not forget the Rotaract and interact and Earlyact stories. So special!

We all need to take a bit of time out; to relax and unwind; to just be. May this #MAD5 do just that: relax and unwind you and make you enjoy some of the many Rotary moments of D9350 to cherish and remember.

Que você tenha uma bendita temporada festiva
Mögest du eine gesegnete festliche Jahreszeit haben
May you have a blessed festive season
Mag jy 'n Geseënde vakansie seisoen het
Mai vous avez une saison de fête bénie
