Waterfront Rotary Launches the Cape Town Ribfest

Plans are well-underway for a new type of entertainment event in South Africa!  Over the weekend of 24 – 25 September 2016, the Waterfront Rotary Club will present Cape Town Ribfest at the Pick n Pay Campus, Kenilworth, adjacent to the Race Course.

Over the two days there will be:

  • Succulent ribs (pork, beef, lamb &, game) from Spur, Eat out the Box and others
  • Cape Malay delicacies
  • Great live blues for Saturday - Mark Fransman and Sonic Citizen, Graham Burton Blues Quartett and Boulevard Blues
  • A more jazzy, Cape Town feel for the Sunday with Ilitha Lelanga Marimba Ensemble and others still to be booked
  • Locally produced beers, wines, coffee, desserts and soft drinks
  • Quality goods offered by a range of companies

All of this is in a safe family-friendly environment with parking, competitions, and other attractions!  Tickets will be required and can be purchased through the event website, which is in the process of being set-up!

We have support from Pick n Pay as well as Mitchell’s Brewery and are working on many more, as well as all the regulatory approvals to make this a weekend to remember!  So watch this space!

What we need right now are more vendors and sponsors so if you are interested, please contact me!
